About the position

The Manager of Engineering Development at T-Mobile USA, Inc. is responsible for leading the National Alternative Coverage Solutions (ACS) and Small Cells team within the Access Network Development (A.N.D.) department. This multifaceted role involves providing expert leadership and guidance in site acquisition, real estate, zoning, construction design, and quality standards. The Manager will coordinate development initiatives, ensuring consistency in processes, reporting, and vendor management while collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track deployment production for Venue, Enterprise, Sponsorships, and Small Cell site leasing, zoning, and construction.
  • Administer contracts and track purchase orders regarding zoning and leasing milestones.
  • Draft and implement development processes, management plans, and contract deliverable schedules.
  • Direct the work of direct reports, including contractors and employees.
  • Exercise approval authority for all employees hired into the department.
  • Communicate and oversee cross-functional or company-wide initiatives.
  • Lead the implementation of policy or organizational structure changes.
  • Determine headcount, skill sets, and resources needed for departmental missions.
  • Influence executives regarding strategy to achieve business objectives.
  • Coordinate and integrate staff activities across functional teams to implement strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or related area; Master's preferred.
  • 4 - 7 years of work experience in wireless site development or similar program management in telecommunications/technology deployment.
  • 2+ years of validated experience leading and motivating teams with multiple functional proficiencies.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
