The Manager of Engineering & Operations is responsible for overseeing the activities and operations of the Engineering Division within the Electric Utility Department. This role involves managing project management tasks and ensuring that the division meets its business goals in alignment with the objectives of the Department and the City. The position requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices, as well as the ability to develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency. The Manager will coordinate with other divisions and external entities to ensure that projects are executed effectively and within budget constraints. This includes preparing and administering the division's operating and capital budgets, identifying necessary system expansions or modifications, and providing technical support to staff engaged in project management and construction standards.
