About the position

The Manager of Engineering Program Management for Analytics & Data Engineering at Apple Services Engineering is responsible for leading a team of Engineering Program Managers (EPM) to execute engineering projects and programs specifically for the Video business. This role involves partnering with stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver exceptional products while navigating significant ambiguity in project execution. The manager will oversee all aspects of project management, including scoping, requirements gathering, solution design, timeline proposals, and communication with executive audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Engineering Program Managers to execute engineering projects and programs for the Video business.
  • Partner with stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver exceptional products.
  • Oversee project scoping, requirements gathering, and solution design.
  • Propose timelines and manage project planning and reporting.
  • Communicate project status and updates to executive audiences regularly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Science, Client and Server Engineering, Production Support, Quality Assurance, Information Security, and Privacy Engineering.

Requirements

  • Experience leading or managing technical programs.
  • Technical project/program management experience or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of both waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
  • Strong facilitation skills to drive complex, cross-functional project plans.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills to all levels of an organization.
  • Self-starting, self-motivated, and able to deliver high-quality results in a dynamic environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with digital marketing technologies, automation, and analytics.
  • Program management experience in data analytics, big data engineering, or software development.
  • Passionate about protecting privacy while delivering key product insights.
  • Experience with big data technologies and tools for big data event management.
