About the position
The Manager of Engineering Programs at PayPal is responsible for overseeing the Infrastructure Engineering Programs within the Business Infrastructure & Technology Services (BITS) organization. This role involves managing a team, establishing program management standards, and ensuring the successful delivery of impactful initiatives. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to drive consistency and standardization in program management.
Responsibilities
- Establish standards and processes to consistently deliver initiatives and programs within BITS.
- Coach and mentor program management professionals and share knowledge on best practices.
- Act as a steward for driving consistency and standardization in managing and delivering programs.
- Monitor compliance with metrics and report on the performance of the PMO.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8+ years of experience leading and/or managing infrastructure projects or within the program management discipline.
- Experience managing a team of program managers is required.
- Experience with Infrastructure project management (Data Center, Disaster Recovery, Observability, Public Cloud preferred).
- Executive presence, great communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable collaborating, partnering, and influencing stakeholders.
- Pro-active management and leadership.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
