About the position

The Manager of Engineering Services at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital is responsible for overseeing the Construction/Trades division, including Operating Engineers, HVAC Technicians, Maintenance Mechanics, and Engineering Technicians. This role ensures that facilities are maintained with uninterrupted utility services and that preventive maintenance is conducted on buildings and equipment. The Manager collaborates with other leaders to develop plans that meet regulatory requirements and provides supervision to staff in the assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage all activities of the Construction/Trades division.
• Ensure uninterrupted utility services and general maintenance of buildings.
• Oversee preventive maintenance of buildings, equipment, and mechanical and electrical systems.
• Supervise staff directly and indirectly in the assigned area.
• Collaborate with the Manager of Systems Sustainability and Safety to develop short- and long-term plans.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Five years of facilities experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience in all trades.
• Professional Engineering license in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• Three years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity.
