About the position

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is seeking a Manager for its Enterprise Change Management team. This leadership role is pivotal in guiding the organization through various change initiatives, ensuring that change management practices are effectively integrated into the company's operations. The Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining a structured methodology for change management, which will enhance the organization's ability to adapt to changes swiftly and efficiently. This position requires a strategic mindset to build and execute an enterprise change strategy that addresses changes at all levels, from individual employees to the entire organization. The Manager will report directly to the Chief Transformation Officer and will oversee a team of change analysts. This role involves close collaboration with leaders and teams across the organization to implement effective change management strategies and plans. The Manager will also be tasked with defining and measuring success metrics for change management, assessing the organization's change management maturity, and managing the enterprise change portfolio. This includes the development of essential templates and tools that address various aspects of change management, such as communication plans, coaching plans, and resistance management plans. In addition to these responsibilities, the Manager will play a crucial role in coaching and influencing senior leaders, helping them understand their roles in the change management process and the importance of their visible support and engagement in driving change adoption. This position is designed for someone who is not only a strategic thinker but also a mentor and leader, capable of guiding their team to achieve their full potential and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a clear Enterprise Change Management approach and structure.
  • Partner and align change management with strategic planning, project management, corporate and strategic communications, agile, lean, and other key processes to achieve a successful change management strategy.
  • Define, measure, and evolve success change management metrics and monitor progress.
  • Assess and monitor organizational change management maturity.
  • Manage the enterprise change portfolio.
  • Manage the development of templates and tools to address the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan.
  • Coach, influence, and support senior leaders to clarify their role in change management and the importance of visible support and active engagement in driving change adoption.
  • Manage a team of change analysts.
  • Provide input and partnership for enterprise change management training needs with WFLD.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in change management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of change management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in project management and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to assess organizational change management maturity and develop strategies accordingly.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with agile and lean methodologies.
