About the position

The Event Logistics Manager at March of Dimes is responsible for overseeing the operational functions related to event logistics, including strategic planning, process development, and execution of both virtual and on-premise events. This role is crucial in ensuring that fundraising and mission objectives are met within the assigned region, providing logistical support for market events, and managing vendor relationships and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of event logistics execution for virtual and on-premise market events.
• Negotiate and execute event contracts and addendums with vendors and legal teams.
• Identify and analyze vendor options to find cost-effective opportunities.
• Monitor event budgets and communicate status with market leadership.
• Ensure markets have all necessary event materials and collateral for execution.
• Manage logistical execution of on-premises fundraising events, including venue and vendor communication.
• Assist in sponsorship activation and recognition fulfillment.
• Educate markets on event policies and provide training for staff and volunteers.
• Support virtual events by co-hosting and ensuring all technical needs are met.
• Facilitate communication between market and national office regarding event data and cash handling.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in event logistics or management.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working within a matrix structure with a dispersed workforce.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data management systems such as FRED, Golden, and OneCause.
• Familiarity with fundraising event strategies and implementation.
