About the position

The Event Field Marketing Manager at Walmart Marketplace is responsible for executing the events strategy to promote Walmart Marketplace's products and services. This role involves establishing connections with target audiences through experiential marketing, managing event marketing campaigns, and collaborating with internal teams to maximize event ROI. The manager will act as a brand ambassador, engage with potential sellers, and track leads generated during events to drive business expansion and product adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and attend relevant industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote Walmart Marketplace.
  • Create and manage event marketing campaigns that align with brand and event goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design creative activations and experiences for potential and existing sellers.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, engaging with potential sellers and partners to highlight the value of joining Walmart Marketplace.
  • Facilitate meetings during events to understand business needs and present Walmart Marketplace as a growth solution.
  • Engage with sellers on-site, answering questions and presenting the value of joining Walmart Marketplace.
  • Utilize customer events to improve product knowledge and increase brand-to-customer face time.
  • Qualify and manage leads by providing content for nurture campaigns or reaching out directly when needed.
  • Track, capture, and manage leads generated during events, ensuring proper documentation in CRM systems post-event.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to implement a lead nurturing strategy.
  • Monitor lead progress and engagement to identify opportunities for relationship-building and conversion.
  • Develop compelling event content and materials that highlight the benefits of selling on Walmart Marketplace.
  • Work with the creative team to design interactive booths, product demos, and promotional assets for events.
  • Track event performance metrics, analyze data, and provide insights to improve future event strategies.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in event marketing, field marketing, or a similar role, preferably in the e-commerce or retail industry.
  • Experience using Salesforce or other Marketing/CRM solutions.
  • Track record of managing event marketing growth strategies in a B2B setting.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with confident communication abilities.
  • Experience working with business development teams and understanding how event marketing supports business KPIs.
  • Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights for future event strategies.
  • Strong project management, negotiation, and organization skills.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Willingness to travel for events and team meetings as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
