About the position

The Manager of Events and Communications at GardaWorld, part of the Global Communications team, is responsible for creating impactful events that align with the company's business objectives. This role involves leading event strategy, planning, and execution, while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure memorable experiences. The position requires managing multiple events globally, overseeing project management, vendor relationships, and on-site execution, as well as providing communications support related to events.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand event objectives, target audience, and key messages.
  • Oversee end-to-end event project management, including budget, timeline, task delegation, and resource allocation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, venues, and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee event setup on-site, including layout design, signage, audiovisual requirements, and technical support.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, analyzing attendee feedback, event metrics, and financial performance.
  • Provide support and coordination of various communications strategies related to events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of proven experience in-house event management, focusing on large-scale global events.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of event planning best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Proficient in using event/project management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations.
  • Self-motivated and highly driven with a strong capability for execution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with crisis management events.
  • Familiarity with information security protocols related to event management.
