About the position

The Manager Facilities Engineering 3 at Northrop Grumman in Iuka, Mississippi, is a leadership role responsible for overseeing facilities and maintenance operations. Responsibilities

  • Oversee facilities and maintenance operations including planning and project performance.
  • Drive team performance based on data analytics including Uptime, MTBF, and MTTR.
  • Implement lean principles, 5S, and visual factory ideology.
  • Ensure uniformity and standard practices across all sites.
  • Provide guidance to subordinates based on organizational goals and company policy.
  • Review work in terms of meeting organizational objectives and schedules.
  • Analyze alternative courses of action for decision making with risk/reward implications.
  • Responsible for all projects assigned to the organizational group.
  • Act as an advisor to lower-level managers and exempt employees.
  • Help meet established schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
  • Interpret, execute, and recommend modifications to organizational policies.
  • Establish operating policies and procedures affecting subordinate units.
  • Develop and administer budgets and standards of performance.
  • Modify the organizational structure of centralized functions and units as needed.
  • Conduct briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience; OR a Master's degree and 5 years of related experience; OR 11 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Previous experience managing maintenance trades and/or vendor contracts.
  • Leadership experience working in collaboration across multiple organizations, contracts, and/or customer relationships.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance last investigated within 6 years.
  • Experience in all areas of Facilities Maintenance operations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.
  • Ability to develop and present material outside the immediate work function.
  • Proven positive impact on employee engagement activities across program and functional organizations.
  • Proven financial, schedule, subcontract management, technical performance, and execution experience.
  • Experience supporting multiple different review teams.
  • Familiar with a variety of aerospace and/or similar industry production equipment and manufacturing facilities infrastructure.
  • Experience with CAD/3D design and/or ability to read and interpret blueprints.
