About the position

The Manager of Facilities Operations is responsible for overseeing the performance of employees involved in the maintenance and operations of healthcare facilities. This role ensures that all functions critical to the facilities are managed effectively on a 24/7 basis, including areas such as plumbing, carpentry, mechanical systems, electrical work, and HVAC. The position requires a strong technical background and knowledge of healthcare facility regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the job performance of employees responsible for facility maintenance and operations.
• Manage maintenance functions critical to healthcare facilities on a 24/7 basis.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory codes and safety requirements.
• Maintain broad knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
• Supervise skilled trades in plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management or related field.
• CHFM - Certified Healthcare Facility Manager certification.
• CHSP - Certified Healthcare Safety Professional certification.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a skilled trade.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare engineering operations.
• Thorough technical skills in assigned areas.
