About the position

The Manager of Facilities at Wellstar Health System is responsible for overseeing the maintenance management of facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing the operational budget. This role involves coordinating and supervising maintenance activities, building a cohesive team, and ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned areas and manage a cohesive maintenance team.
• Evaluate mechanic assets and deficiencies, providing direction, supervision, and training support.
• Coordinate operations in accordance with Joint Commission, NFPA, CMS, EPA, OSHA, and other applicable codes.
• Prepare and maintain the annual budget for the assigned cost center, approving budgeted expenditures.
• Develop recommendations for capital improvements for utilities and infrastructure upgrades.
• Train new personnel and assist with the educational needs of assigned staff.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships to promote teamwork and departmental goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• 5 years or more of experience in healthcare or industrial maintenance setting.
• 2 years of employee supervisory experience.
• Valid Georgia Driver's License required.
• Knowledge of preconstruction and infection control processes.
• Computer proficiency and leadership skills are essential.
• Strong troubleshooting, budget management, and project management skills.
