About the position

The Manager of Facilities at Wellstar Health System is responsible for overseeing the maintenance management of facilities within the organization. This role involves coordinating, supervising, and implementing project management activities for buildings and systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing budgets, and fostering effective communication and teamwork among staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operations of assigned areas and builds a cohesive maintenance team.
• Coordinates and directs operations in accordance with regulatory compliance standards such as Joint Commission, NFPA, CMS, EPA, and OSHA.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills to manage complex workloads and ensure good communication with internal and external customers.
• Prepares and maintains the annual budget for the assigned cost center and authorizes budgeted expenditures.
• Develops recommendations for capital improvements related to utilities and infrastructure upgrades.
• Trains new personnel and assists with the educational needs of assigned staff, promoting teamwork and department goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• 5 years or more of experience in healthcare or industrial maintenance setting.
• 2 years of employee supervisory experience.
• Strong project management skills and knowledge of budgeting processes.
• Proficiency in computer skills and troubleshooting.
