As the Facility Maintenance Manager at GEO Corrections & Detentions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards. This position requires a proactive approach to facility management, overseeing a team responsible for the maintenance and repair of various systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building upkeep. You will coordinate with corporate and supervisory staff to manage construction or remodeling projects, ensuring that all work is completed according to specifications and within budget. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a culture of safety and efficiency among your team, as you interpret company policies and enforce safety regulations. In this role, you will also be responsible for managing maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies, as well as production schedules to meet project deadlines. Monitoring Building Automation Systems (BAS) will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you analyze energy usage and costs to optimize efficiency. You will coach and supervise workers, including inmates/detainees receiving maintenance training, ensuring they achieve their work goals while adhering to safety standards. Your ability to communicate effectively with various groups, both in writing and verbally, will be vital in this position, as will your problem-solving skills in practical situations.
