About the position

The Manager, Facility Management is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of facilities within a hospital or health center, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing budgets, and leading staff development. This role includes project management for construction and renovation, financial performance oversight, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day facilities operations in a hospital or health center.
• Oversee additional departments such as Environmental Services, Security, and Plant Operations.
• Conduct project management for minor construction and building renovation projects.
• Evaluate Program Quality Evaluation (PQE) and departmental financial performance.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Develop and manage capital and operational budgets, ensuring appropriate use of resources.
• Conduct monthly department meetings and maintain key performance indicators.
• Ensure maintenance procedures meet applicable codes and standards.
• Manage customer satisfaction surveys and foster positive relationships with hospital administration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 2 years in hospital maintenance or medical equipment operations management.
• Demonstrated financial and operational management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional Designation, Licensure, or certification preferred (e.g., CHFM, CHC, PE).
• Construction experience and knowledge of safety and security protocols.
