About the position

The Manager of Facility Management at Dignity Health is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of facilities within a hospital or health center. This role includes managing various departments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading projects related to construction and renovation. The manager is also tasked with financial performance, staff recruitment and training, and enhancing customer satisfaction. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational excellence of the facility while supporting the mission and values of CommonSpirit Health.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day facilities operations in a hospital or health center.
• Oversee additional departments such as Environmental Services, Security, and Plant Operations.
• Conduct project management and oversight of minor construction and renovation projects.
• Ensure departmental financial performance and manage budgets effectively.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff, conducting performance evaluations and meetings.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure timely reporting of key performance indicators.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence.
• Foster positive relationships with hospital administration and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 2 years in hospital maintenance or medical equipment operations management.
• Strong financial planning and budget management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Microsoft Project.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional designation or certification (e.g., CHFM, CHC, PE) preferred.
• Experience in construction, safety, and security management is a plus.
