About the position

The Manager, Facility Management at CommonSpirit Health is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of facilities within a hospital or health center. This role includes managing various departments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining high standards of service and safety. The position also involves project management for construction and renovation projects, financial performance oversight, and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day facilities operations in a hospital or health center.
• Oversee additional departments such as Environmental Services, Security, and Plant Operations.
• Conduct project management for minor construction and building renovation projects.
• Evaluate Program Quality Evaluation (PQE) and departmental financial performance.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff while ensuring customer satisfaction improvements.
• Develop and manage capital and operational budgets, ensuring appropriate use of resources.
• Conduct monthly department meetings and maintain key performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accreditation and licenses.
• Manage customer satisfaction surveys and foster positive relationships with hospital administration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 2 years in hospital maintenance or medical equipment operations management.
• Demonstrated financial and operational management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Professional Designation, Licensure, or certification (e.g., CHFM, CHC, PE).
