About the position

The Manager, Faculty Advisory Services will lead a team of higher education instructors who act as subject matter experts for Pearson products. This role is crucial in guiding the Faculty Advisor team to enhance service delivery to higher education clients, ensuring high-quality advisement services, and fostering professional growth among team members. The Manager will work closely with the Vice President of Customer Success - Higher Education to align team goals with broader organizational objectives, while also focusing on continuous improvement and innovation in service offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the strategic plan and set annual goals for faculty advisement services in alignment with Customer Success and Higher Ed objectives.
  • Report on team KPIs to highlight success and impact on Sales Closures and Customer Retention.
  • Set benchmarks and clear expectations using KPIs, continually adjusting and reinforcing priorities to meet goals.
  • Maintain a formal feedback process to consolidate educator feedback into actionable insights for various departments.
  • Foster a customer-centric, diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture within the team.
  • Lead the team in anticipating and meeting the needs of internal and external customers, continuously improving advisement services.
  • Recruit and onboard strong talent for the organization.
  • Ensure effective training, coaching, and development of direct reports.
  • Utilize data to drive decision-making and teach the team to do the same.
  • Collaborate with internal Marketing teams to establish a calendar for Customer Training via Webinar.
  • Work with Sales Enablement to establish a calendar for Seller Training via Webinar.
  • Stay updated on higher education teaching methods and principles to guide the team effectively.
  • Develop and measure methodologies to support instructor onboarding and course implementations of Pearson digital solutions.
  • Establish productive relationships with leadership across various departments to achieve revenue and retention goals.
  • Ensure team compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethics.

Requirements

  • PhD (preferred) or Master's degree in Math, Science, or Business.
  • 5+ years of teaching experience in a higher education setting.
  • 3+ years of management experience with a proven track record in leading a team in a virtual environment.
  • Strong leadership qualities in change management, planning, and talent development.
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with Pearson digital course solutions and learning management systems is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and familiar with Salesforce and ServiceNow.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in product development and budgeting in higher education contexts.
  • Familiarity with digital learning technologies and platforms.
