KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our Federal Advisory practice. In this role, you will manage a team of professionals delivering financial management advisory services to U.S. Federal government clients. You will provide subject matter technical knowledge in financial management areas such as financial reporting, internal controls, and financial business systems. Your responsibilities will span across the project lifecycle, including assisting with scope definition, business case development, vendor assessment, requirements gathering, functional and technical design, testing, training, and implementation phases. You will also review draft deliverables prepared by engagement teams and present final results to management, as well as review audit requests, prepare responses, support engagement walkthroughs, and execute formal project management activities. Additionally, you will develop and sustain solid relationships with client personnel, identifying opportunities to provide additional services. You will contribute to the development and evolution of methodologies and intellectual capital, including articles, whitepapers, and training efforts. This position requires a minimum of five years of federal financial management or transformation experience, along with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university. CPA, CGFM, or CDFM certifications are preferred. Experience in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements for U.S. Federal government entities is essential, as is experience in leading project engagements, staff development, internal financial controls, business process analysis, and financial business systems.
