About the position

The Manager, Field & Marketing Operations (Speaker Bureau) is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of Speaker Bureau programs and advisory board activities within the Field & Marketing Operations organization. This role serves as the primary liaison between field teams and internal departments, ensuring compliance with company policies while managing logistical coordination for national and regional congresses. The position is crucial for enhancing the company's engagement with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders in the pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of speaker bureau coordination and execution, serving as the primary contact for speakers, field teams, internal departments, vendors, and attendees.
  • Organize and manage implementation of peer-to-peer and speaker bureau programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Implement metrics plans and optimization; manage quarterly business reviews of programs.
  • Own the peer-to-peer event data for reporting.
  • Create marketing materials for field teams and HQ to promote the programs.
  • Supervise and handle financial disbursements to speakers and vendors for programs.
  • Serve as the key logistical contact for HCP, KOL, and advisory activities at conferences.
  • Lead product theaters at key congresses, including materials, invitations, and speaker management.
  • Optimize organizational presence and key customer engagements through coordination with internal partners.
  • Attend all Rhythm events that require support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 4+ years in administration and management of logistics and congresses within the commercial operations department in a pharmaceutical company or primary service provider for a pharmaceutical company, rare disease experience is a plus.
  • 2+ years of project management or coordinator experience within the peer-to-peer, medical education, and/or speaker bureau industry for life sciences.
  • 2+ years of experience as a speaker bureau coordinator or meeting planner working within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience managing vendor partners/consultants and leading project teams to achieve milestones and objectives.
  • Results-driven with a high sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Effective planning, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated program ownership and consistent delivery on commitments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with external experts and cross-functional partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Understanding of PhRMA Guidelines and Sunshine Act.
