About The Position
The Manager, Field Operations (Nights) - System Safety position at New York City Transit is responsible for overseeing the night operations of the Bus & Rail Field Operations Division. This role includes coordinating and managing the activities of the Joint OSS/TWU/SSSA Safety Inspection Teams, which evaluate compliance with NYCT Transit Safety requirements. The manager will prepare detailed reports of inspections, identifying areas of non-compliance and providing recommendations for issues not addressed by current policies or procedures. Additionally, the position involves investigating serious industrial accidents and providing technical support to the Department of Subways, along with other duties as assigned.
