About the position

The Manager, Field Sales for Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting is responsible for leading a team of Field Sales Executives in the Northeast region, focusing on Mid-to-Large Firms. This role involves driving performance, managing key accounts, and ensuring the team meets sales targets while adapting to operational challenges. The position requires a strong sales leadership background and the ability to influence and develop talent within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Field Sales Executives
  • Maintain accountability for driving performance and results of the department/region
  • Provide direction based on general policies and management guidance; recommend modifications to operating policies where appropriate
  • Play a lead role in driving a cross-regional sales team and internal employees to penetrate key accounts and aggressively expand relationships
  • Adapt functional/departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges and objectives
  • Ensure professional sales coordination and account planning to resolve possible account ownership issues
  • Attract, retain and develop talent to ensure that the team is consistently able to meet key performance indicators
  • Travel to company meetings, conferences, events and client sites as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience; MBA preferred
  • 7+ years B2B Field Sales, Account Management or other relevant work experience
  • 3+ years sales leadership/supervisory experience or completion of Wolters Kluwer Future Leaders Training Program
  • Prior sales of software/SaaS or other subscription-based product solutions
  • Proven track record of achieving/exceeding individual and team-based sales quotas and targets
  • Experience adapting functional/departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges and objectives
  • Experience being accountable for a centralized functional activity
  • Ability to lead, develop and manage field sales representatives
  • Ability to influence a team to deliver on outcomes
