About the position

The Field Service Manager 1 will represent KUBOTA Tractor Corporations Service Department at independently owned KUBOTA dealerships within an assigned region of the US. Efforts of this role will focus on dealer aftersales business development, technical and professional dealer personnel training, service support system management and warranty oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Build trust and lead as an outside advisor for assigned dealer's aftersales departments.
  • Ensure alignment of Kubota, Kubota Dealer Support and Customer Success Strategies.
  • Evaluate, articulate and demonstrate best practices of aftersales processes.
  • Contribute positively to the Dealer Aftersales business development process.
  • Apply decisions to develop dealer product, parts and labor sales.
  • Lead the customer solution delivery within their assigned territory.
  • Put enthusiastic and positive efforts towards problem solving all issues at Kubota dealerships.
  • Meet Aftersales Business Performance Targets.
  • Responsible for Dealer performance and developing recommendations.
  • Enable and ensure that Kubota TSC is informed and involved with all critical territory technical issues.
  • Positively manage the aftersales warranty process.
  • Support the dealer's aftersales warranty process balancing information capture with dealer recovery.
  • Support aftersales business performance assurance workshops.
  • Assist and participate in regional technical and professional service management training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of dealer or OEM operations experience required.
  • With a Bachelor's degree at least 3 years' experience required.
  • In lieu of a degree at least 5 years' experience required.
  • Kubota certified in dealer business operations management (within 1 year of hire).
  • Professional level understanding of dealer aftersales processes with abilities to advise on improvements.
  • Ability to apply advanced diagnostics and problem-solving techniques to any situation.
  • Proficient level skills using MS Office.
  • Comfortable in making professional level presentations to large groups of people.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time domestically and internationally.
