About the position

The Manager, Finance - Accounts Receivable position at BAE Systems is a full-time remote role focused on leading the Accounts Receivable team within the Electronic Systems Sector Finance. This role involves managing cash forecasting, analyzing overdue receivables, and ensuring effective cash collection processes. The position emphasizes employee growth, collaboration, and operational excellence, contributing to the overall mission of supporting the US Defense ERP Reporting Entity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable team in all areas of ATB analysis and reporting.
  • Provide current commentary status on all invoices in support of operating cash forecasts and quarterly CFO certifications.
  • Manage overdue receivables and short-paid balances to drive closure on cash collections.
  • Oversee the Oracle customer database, including credit management and continuous creditworthiness analysis.
  • Complete weekly and monthly accounts receivable reporting to Sector management and Accounting.
  • Work closely with Business Area Finance and Contracts teams to resolve cash collection issues.
  • Lead and support Business Intelligence tools and dashboards for the AR organization.
  • Develop creative solutions to problems and drive change.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related degree and 6 years of work experience; or a master's degree and 4 years of work experience.
  • Previous experience in Accounts Receivable.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and balance competing priorities.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency within the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Proficiency with Oracle.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence and lead diverse work teams.
  • Analytical mindset and keen critical thinking/problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with government contracting processes.
