About the position

The Manager of Logistics Finance plays a crucial role in the Logistics Finance team, focusing on financial reporting, planning, and analysis for the North American Distribution Center in McDonough, GA. This position involves developing partnerships with Operations Leadership, providing financial guidance, controlling costs, and leading cost optimization initiatives to support the overall business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop successful business partnerships with Operations Leadership and key partners by setting financial and operating targets.
  • Provide financial guidance and control for the distribution center.
  • Control and maintain standard costs and allocation of logistic costs on markets/brands P&L.
  • Partner with corporate finance and markets for ad-hoc reporting.
  • Lead cost optimization initiatives and evaluate returns of automation projects.
  • Provide financial insights for periodic business reviews with senior management.
  • Support the financial planning process on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Ensure alignment with corporate standards in accounting, reporting, and internal policies, as well as external regulations and SOX requirements.
  • Review key line items including payroll, corrugate, consumables, and shared cost allocation, making recommendations to achieve forecast/plans.
  • Complete detailed reviews of actual results and variance explanations.
  • Work towards the simplification and automation of finance operations.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or Statistics.
  • 5+ years of accounting and/or financial planning and analysis experience.
  • Advanced Excel user and familiarity with financial systems (SAP, Essbase).
  • Exceptional analysis skills and curiosity to research issues.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA/CPA/CMA certification.
  • Previous experience in Logistics, Operations, or Manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with advanced reporting and data analysis tools such as PowerBi and SQL.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, advanced user of MS PowerPoint or similar tools.
