About the position

The Finance Manager at AdventHealth Corporate is responsible for leading various Finance Corporate Services projects, which include routine reporting, annual allocations, the annual capital model, balance sheet modeling, and Senior Finance Leadership presentations. This role requires the individual to analyze, produce, compile, and present financial information that benefits management and financial leadership. The Finance Manager will act as a liaison between the Finance Corporate Services department and other Corporate and Shared Services departments, as well as facilities and external consultants when necessary. The position demands a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. In this role, the Finance Manager will manage and supervise finance projects to ensure that accurate and timely information is produced to support decision-making processes. This includes presenting and distributing statistical and financial results, as well as high-level analyses of finance projects to senior finance executives and hospital leadership. The Finance Manager will coordinate the gathering, reviewing, and analyzing of data necessary for various projects, establish deadlines, and communicate expectations to ensure timely completion. Regular communication with supervisors regarding project status is also a key responsibility. The Finance Manager is expected to provide timely support on project-related matters and to maintain a collaborative relationship with various stakeholders, including hospital leadership and corporate finance staff. This position is integral to the financial operations of AdventHealth, contributing to the overall mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ by ensuring financial integrity and accountability within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise finance projects including routine reporting and annual allocations.
  • Manage the annual capital model and balance sheet modeling.
  • Prepare and present Senior Finance Leadership presentations and survey submissions.
  • Act as a liaison between Corporate and Shared Services departments, hospital leadership, and external consultants.
  • Analyze, produce, compile, and present financial information for management and financial leadership.
  • Coordinate gathering, reviewing, and analyzing data necessary for finance projects.
  • Establish deadlines and communicate expectations to ensure timely project completion.
  • Provide regular status updates to supervisors on project progress.
  • Support project-related matters in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 5 years of progressive work experience, including at least 3 years in the Healthcare Industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
  • Experience working in a hospital finance or accounting department.
  • Proficiency in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Oracle PeopleSoft FSCM.
