About the position

The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager at Wells Fargo will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive quality assurance program focused on financial crimes controls. This role is pivotal in ensuring that processes and mitigating controls are well-defined, compliant with corporate policies, and operating effectively. The QA Manager will oversee multiple execution teams, manage assurance processes, and collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance the quality assurance framework, driving continuous improvement and risk mitigation across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the Financial Crimes Quality Assurance function towards a best-in-class assurance program.
  • Facilitate assurance activities ensuring processes and controls are compliant and operating as expected.
  • Lead and manage execution teams performing ongoing quality assurance across various internal lines of business.
  • Oversee management and reporting of assurance processes related to financial crimes controls.
  • Maintain collaborative partnerships with frontline stakeholders, audit teams, and testing partners.
  • Implement proactive enhancements to the QA program based on issue management and executive expectations.
  • Leverage reporting to identify and address emerging trends with stakeholders and management.
  • Oversee change management processes to ensure timely updates and documentation.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience.
  • 2+ years of Leadership experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • 4+ years of experience in Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Fraud, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of US regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.
  • Experience in managing teams and mentoring individuals to develop leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Senior level experience in change management or program management at a global level.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and manage multiple competing priorities.
