About the position

The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) at Magid Glove & Safety Manufacturing Co. is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the FP&A function, driving financial planning and analysis processes, and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive leadership team. This position emphasizes performance improvement, the development of scalable reporting systems, and collaboration across various business functions. The role also involves leading and mentoring a team of analysts to transform data into actionable strategies that support business success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Financial Planning & Analysis function, process, & strategies.
  • Serve as a trusted, strategic business partner by providing accurate, timely, and pertinent financial guidance.
  • Provide forward-looking financial leadership, analysis, and reporting to the executive leadership team.
  • Lead a team of FP&A professionals, providing coaching and technical support to direct reports.
  • Develop and implement robust procedures for accurate financial statements, forecasts, and key performance metrics.
  • Provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including preparing financial presentations and capital expenditure analysis.
  • Organize monthly review and reporting packages, including key financial metrics and performance indicators.
  • Lead the development of the Annual Operating Plan and support the 5-year Strategic Plan.
  • Guide continuous process improvements to enhance financial forecast quality and reduce cycle times.
  • Support extensive information requests and ad-hoc report requests from key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting required
  • 7-10 years of Finance experience required
  • 5-7 years of Strategic FP&A experience required
  • 1-3 years of Management experience preferred
  • Advanced user of Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient with Power BI and Cognos
  • Excellent managerial skills and ability to evaluate the work of others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of applicable financial practices and procedures
  • Thorough understanding of state and federal rules and regulations

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's in Business Administration preferred
  • Experience within Manufacturing or Industrial products industries preferred
