About the position

The Manager of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting at QTS Data Centers is responsible for overseeing the preparation and accuracy of consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and providing technical accounting support. This role involves collaboration with various teams to resolve accounting issues, manage the company's lease portfolio, and coordinate audit activities, all while maintaining effective controls over financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements for external reporting purposes, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Assist with the Company's debt compliance reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial information is provided to lending institutions.
• Conduct technical accounting research and provide transaction support.
• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to offer technical accounting guidance and resolve reporting issues.
• Stay updated on emerging accounting pronouncements and assess their impact on the business.
• Manage the Company's lease portfolio as a lessee.
• Coordinate annual audit and quarterly review activities with external auditors.
• Identify issues and areas for improvement in financial reporting processes.
• Support ad hoc financial reporting requests as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Four or more years of relevant accounting and/or financial reporting experience
• Advanced Excel experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with technical accounting research
• One or more years of management experience

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master's degree in Accounting
• Three or more years of public accounting experience
• Six or more years of relevant accounting and/or financial reporting experience
• Experience with IFRS accounting and reporting
• Experience with financial reporting platforms such as Wdesk
