About the position

The Manager, Fleet Services at Prince Telecom is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and management of the company's fleet and equipment. This includes ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing fuel programs, and coordinating vehicle maintenance and repairs. The role requires significant travel and collaboration with various teams to ensure operational efficiency and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and implement fleet and equipment maintenance, including hours of operation, miles, levels of preventative maintenance, and required annual inspections.
  • Ensure that all vehicles and equipment are maintained according to company standards.
  • Responsible for invoicing all fleet and equipment related assets.
  • Inspect weekly vehicle mileage reports to ensure maintenance is scheduled accordingly.
  • Partner with Dycom fleet personnel and vendors, managing all aspects of vehicle upfits to meet company needs.
  • Coordinate the delivery of new equipment and vehicles and document according to company requirements.
  • Manage all aspects of vehicle and trailer records including titles, state licensing/tagging, inspections, state changes, and DOT compliance.
  • Prepare old vehicles/equipment for auction and assure they are delivered to auctions timely.
  • Analyze the condition of existing fleet and equipment and make ongoing recommendations to replace vehicles and equipment.
  • Collaborate daily with Safety and Field leadership, coordinating DriveCam activity to assure all vehicle's cameras are functioning properly and replaced as necessary.
  • Work with the Field leadership to ensure repairs and preventative maintenance are being properly performed.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
  • High school diploma (or GED equivalent) required.
  • 6 years of related experience and/or training; and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of all relevant Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, documentation, and tracking per operating state.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Knowledge pertaining to vehicle maintenance and repairs is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in English with coworkers, internal customers, and the general public.
  • Must hold a valid Driver's License.
  • Experience supervising a team.
