About the position

The Manager of Food Services at Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley is responsible for overseeing the Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) team, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and high levels of patient satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, collaborating on menu development, and maintaining effective communication with patients and staff. The manager will also conduct audits and coaching to uphold service standards, contributing to the overall mission of providing quality care in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Directs all patient interactive positions and ensures operational needs are met.
• Maintains communication with patients, staff, and customers regarding service levels and promotes patient satisfaction.
• Maintains adequate staffing for daily needs and manages staff performance.
• Collaborates in menu development for patient, cafeteria, and catering services.
• Conducts frequent patient rounding and visitations.
• Conducts job shadowing audits to assess training efficacy and provides coaching as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience.
• Bachelor's/Associate degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Culinary or related field, or three (3) years of equivalent experience.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietitian certification required within 24 months of hire.
• Current ServSafe© Food Protection Manager and ServSafe© Allergen Certifications required within 60 days of hire.
• Physical ability to exert up to 50lbs force occasionally.
