About the position

The Manager, Global Marketing at Universal Music Group is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for artists and projects on a global scale. Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily and weekly marketing summaries and plans.
  • Analyze and report on streaming, sales, and marketing events.
  • Participate in daily calls with management, label teams, and Universal staff globally.
  • Manage budgets for assigned projects.
  • Create, update, and maintain priority documents and external marketing pitch decks.
  • Develop executive summaries for senior staff.
  • Execute marketing strategies and contribute insights to Universal Music's Global Artists Programs, prioritizing key initiatives.
  • Analyze campaign performance and present insights and key learnings to internal departments.
  • Work on assigned artists and projects at a global level.

Requirements

  • Strong passion for music across all genres and a deep understanding of the modern global music landscape.
  • Knowledge of popular culture and emerging trends, including short-form content platforms.
  • Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with artists, managers, and industry executives.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in handling challenges and working with diverse teams.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-volume environments, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across global offices.
  • Proven ability to generate new ideas and partnerships.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Experience working with artists, management teams, and other stakeholders to develop and implement artist-centric campaigns and strategies.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • 2+ years of music industry or record label experience is preferred but not required.
