About the position

The Global Product Development & Supply (GPS) Organization is dedicated to developing, manufacturing, and supplying medicines that transform the lives of patients. The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is a 2.5-3 year rotational leadership development program designed for high-potential individuals who are passionate about making an impact in the product development and supply organization. This program includes four rotations, each lasting approximately eight months, across various GPS functions and geographic locations. Participants will gain experience in technical leadership, supervisory roles, strategy development, supply chain optimizations, plant manufacturing, project management, and continuous improvement initiatives. The program also emphasizes training in technical, managerial, and leadership skills, along with coaching and mentoring from executives and peers. Upon completion, associates will be well-prepared for meaningful leadership roles within the GPS organization.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a rotational leadership development program across various functions within the Global Product Development & Supply organization.
  • Engage in technical leadership and supervisory roles during rotations.
  • Contribute to strategy development and supply chain optimizations.
  • Gain hands-on experience in plant manufacturing and project management.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive productivity and excellence.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (MS or MBA) required; PhD preferred, with backgrounds in STEM, Healthcare, or Supply Chain.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of full-time work experience in relevant fields such as Process Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or Supply Chain.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and effective communication/presentation abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with quantitative skills.
  • Ability and willingness to relocate within and outside the United States.
  • Proficiency in a second language is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in biopharma utility or related fields.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role or team project.
