About the position

The Manager of Global Sales Analytics & Operations at Alaska Airlines is responsible for leading a team of analysts to manage analytics functions, automation, and the contracting process for the Sales organization. This role focuses on establishing priorities to meet sales goals, identifying revenue opportunities, and presenting data insights to executive leadership. The position emphasizes team development, performance management, and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and establish priorities for a team of Global Sales Operations and Analytics analysts to meet Sales goals.
  • Build executive level reporting, dashboards, and financial models to support Account Managers and maximize Sales profitability.
  • Oversee the end-to-end Contracting process, ensuring support for Account Managers and adherence to internal metrics.
  • Prepare executive level leadership presentation materials focused on data analytics and actionable results.
  • Host regular meetings with senior leadership to present findings and performance updates.
  • Partner with senior leadership and the Commercial Analytics team for annual revenue budgeting.
  • Implement regional and global sales plans and goals to position Alaska Air Group competitively.
  • Seek out and take ownership of new analytics initiatives.
  • Define and measure complex KPI metrics to drive business process and sales revenue improvements.
  • Develop team members through effective performance management and ongoing feedback.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in sales, analytics, business, or related area.
  • 2 years of people leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, analytical or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to coach, motivate, and lead a team to meet/exceed goals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior airline experience in Sales or the commercial organization.
  • Advanced data modeling and forecasting skills.
  • Advanced ability with Excel and other database programs (SQL, Alteryx, Tableau).
