About the position

The Manager, Global Supply Chain Data Analytics & Reporting at Hollister Incorporated plays a pivotal role in providing strategic and tactical leadership to the Global Supply Chain Data, Analytics & Reporting function. Reporting directly to the VP of Global Supply Chain, this position is responsible for overseeing a development team that focuses on data mining, acquisition, harmonization, and curation. The manager will ensure that internal Global Supply Chain business partners have better access to and understanding of business-critical data, which is essential for making timely and effective business decisions. This role is crucial in connecting Global Supply Chain strategies with the necessary business processes and tools, shaping the future of data visualization and reporting within the organization. The position requires a deep understanding of relational databases and SQL scripting, as well as experience in leading teams that specialize in data visualization and reporting. The manager will guide the team in building effective user interfaces and oversee the design and development of interactive data visualizations using tools such as Power BI. Additionally, the role involves leveraging Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reporting processes. The manager will also be responsible for establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of reporting initiatives and continuously optimize performance. In this hybrid work environment, the manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, analysts, and data scientists, to understand their information needs and promote a data-driven culture within the organization. The role requires strong communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that the value of data visualization and reporting is recognized in driving informed decision-making. The manager will also be tasked with fostering a safe and inclusive working environment, ensuring compliance with corporate initiatives, and supporting the development of annual budget plans.

Responsibilities

  • Understand applications/systems footprint and data elements needed to support Supply Chain Analytics & Reporting.
  • Design/build/utilize relational databases and system integrations to secure needed data.
  • Homogenize, curate, and organize data from different data sources.
  • Manage the analytics platform and support model for a large group of users.
  • Lead a team of data visualization and reporting specialists, providing guidance and direction to drive excellence in performance and outcomes.
  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for data visualization and reporting initiatives, aligning with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in data visualization and reporting.
  • Drive continuous innovation and improvement in data visualization and reporting processes.
  • Guide team on building effective and consistent user interfaces.
  • Oversee the design and development of interactive and engaging data visualizations and reports using tools such as Power BI.
  • Leverage Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to automate processes and drive efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, including principles of clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness in reporting.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Drive the development of insightful and actionable reports that provide valuable insights into key business metrics, trends, and performance indicators.
  • Implement robust frameworks and processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of reports/visualizations.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand information needs and provide guidance on data visualization and reporting best practices.
  • Champion a data-driven culture within the organization, promoting the value of data visualization and reporting in driving informed decision-making.
  • Develop strategies to effectively communicate technologies needed to drive insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of reporting initiatives, continuously optimizing performance and outcomes.
  • Hire, coach, and develop Analysts for high performance; assess, assign/realign job duties as needed; ensure succession plans are in place.
  • Support the development of annual budget plans.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and high engagement working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and/or industry initiatives particularly in the area of Data Security.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years overall experience in data analytics and reporting.
  • B.S. / B.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with Relational Databases; Systems Integrations; Data Harmonization, Curation, & Organization; Data Visualization; Platform Management & Support.
  • 3+ years of experience leading data-focused teams.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

Nice-to-haves

  • Supply Chain Functional and Process Experience (across Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and/or Manufacturing).
  • Working knowledge of Supply Chain Systems (Kinaxis-Rapid Response, SAP-IBP); ERP (SAP S/4 HANA) and associated data structures.
  • Network Modeling Capabilities (Llamasoft/Supply Chain Guru).
  • Experience with agile methodologies and project management practices.
