About the position

The Manager, Global Viral Marketing at Capitol Music Group will play a pivotal role in developing and executing impactful short-form and social media campaigns aimed at key international markets. This position focuses on driving global narrative conversations, increasing artist awareness, and boosting consumption by leveraging local cultural touchpoints. The role requires collaboration with global marketing leads and local market teams to create cohesive strategies that resonate with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement powerful short-form and social media campaigns for key ex-US markets.
  • Collaborate with local market teams to identify cultural touchpoints for audience engagement.
  • Align global marketing strategies with local insights to maximize campaign relevance.
  • Build and maintain a database of key ex-US music communities and cultural tastemakers.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance to optimize strategies and provide insights to senior management.
  • Work closely with global marketing leads and the Los Angeles-based viral marketing team to ensure campaign alignment.
  • Maintain communication with the head of international and head of digital for updates and insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in social media marketing, focusing on short-form content and viral campaigns.
  • Proven track record of successful campaign development and execution in international markets.
  • Strong understanding of global and local cultural trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency in social media analytics and reporting tools.
  • Passion for music and understanding of the music industry and fan communities.
