About the position

This position coordinates all activities related to the creation, implementation, and execution of strategies and programs aimed at reducing and mitigating information security risks across the enterprise. The role supports the enterprise-wide information security and assurance function, ensuring that confidentiality, integrity, and availability requirements of information systems and assets are identified and managed appropriately.

Responsibilities

  • Identify risks through a comprehensive evaluation process.
  • Improve the content, quality, and timing of governance, risk, and compliance analysis and reporting.
  • Implement a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Control the growth of governance, risk, and compliance-related expenses.
  • Direct and establish a consistent approach to assess and improve compliance programs across the business.
  • Establish an enterprise-wide view of gaps and improve risk response strategies.
  • Streamline compliance programs across the enterprise to gain efficiencies and improve effectiveness.
  • Establish consistent policies and standards across the enterprise to enforce ownership and accountability.
  • Leverage technology to aggregate controls, risk, and compliance information to identify and report exceptions.
  • Conduct Operational Risk Assessments and Compliance Reviews.
  • Conduct and direct Enterprise Risk Management assessments.
  • Conduct business unit self-assessments and reporting package development.
  • Provide vision, leadership, planning, project coordination, and management for the development of a cost-effective department.
  • Represent the company in community and industry programs and conferences.
  • Function as the department head in the absence of the executive leader upon request.
  • Participate in the development of programs as a strategic partner that supports the company plan.
  • Participate in the development of the annual departmental budget, monitor budget, and identify discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 7 years of experience leading information risk, security, and governance teams.
  • Experience with leading the response to incidents, crises, and investigations.
  • Extensive experience in information security architecture and consultative stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrated experience in information security program management.
