About the position

The Manager, Group Sales at Memphis Redbirds is a key role focused on developing and executing ticketing strategies to achieve revenue, attendance, and retention goals. This position requires a motivated sales professional who will engage with various groups, including corporations, non-profits, and schools, to maximize ticket sales and enhance customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for individual and packaged suites/hospitality, and group events to various organizations and the general public with an emphasis on maximizing revenue.
  • Meet and exceed established weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals.
  • Implement outbound sales efforts using best practices, prospecting, networking, lead generation, and personal database management.
  • Generate a minimum number of weekly out-of-office and in-ballpark face-to-face meetings to create new business opportunities.
  • Provide superior customer service to suite clients, season ticket holders, and new business prospects.
  • Create and implement unique sales strategies and programs to produce new business opportunities.
  • Contribute positively to the sales team culture and develop mutually beneficial relationships with team members.
  • Participate in sales team meetings and training sessions.
  • Model and reinforce the Memphis Redbirds expectations of positivity, work ethic, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of prior outbound sports sales experience.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
  • Basic computer skills and project management abilities.
  • Ability to navigate the stadium to visit clients and escort potential customers on seat tours.

  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
