The Electrical Engineer position is integral to our department, which focuses on the design, development, integration, and lifecycle support of Raytheon products. This role specifically targets the area of Radar and Receiver Exciter design, analysis, integration, and testing. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be tasked with solving complex technical problems and providing innovative solutions in the realm of radar systems. The responsibilities of Radar Receiver Exciter engineers include architecture development, integration, and analysis of the receiver and exciters of complex radar systems. You will face technical challenges that range from RF chain and link budget analysis to digital signal processing algorithm definition and verification. Your contributions will be crucial in all phases of radar design and integration, from requirements definition to system sell-off and verification. In this role, you will resolve complex technical issues encountered during the design, integration, and testing of Radar Receiver and Exciter subsystems. You will process and analyze Radar Receiver/Exciter data, including IQ Data, to identify and resolve system performance issues, and troubleshoot both hardware and software issues. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior work experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of prior work experience. A U.S. government-issued security clearance is required, and candidates must be U.S. citizens to be eligible for this clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve complex technical issues seen during design, integration, and test of Radar Receiver and Exciter sub-systems.
  • Process and analyze Radar Receiver/Exciter data, including IQ Data, to identify and resolve system performance issues.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years' of prior work experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' of prior work experience.
  • Experience with Radar Receiver / Exciter system and subsystem analysis, design and/or test.
  • U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience with RF chain design and analysis.
  • Experience with IQ/signal processing analysis in Matlab, C/C++, Python, or other programming languages.
  • Experience in troubleshooting radar systems, root cause identification, corrective action implementation and associated documentation.
  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing techniques and FPGA implementation.
