About the position
The Manager of Health Outcomes Pharmacy at Highmark Health is responsible for leading a team of Population Health Pharmacists to implement and execute the Population Health Pharmacy Strategy. This role focuses on improving provider performance under value-based reimbursement contracts and other risk-based contracts, ensuring effective management of team operations, and fostering collaboration across departments.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Population Health Pharmacists, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Plan, organize, and control the day-to-day operations of the department, including policy development and budget management.
- Develop and execute an employee engagement plan, assessing team skills and performance.
- Implement strategies to improve provider scores on pharmacy-related metrics under VBR contracts.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other pharmacy departments on initiatives.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Pharmacy required.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in a Pharmacy role, including 3 - 5 years in a management role.
- Registered Pharmacist certification required.
