About the position

The Manager, Health Policy Communications at Nemours is responsible for leading strategic communications and thought leadership initiatives focused on the organization's population health portfolio. This hybrid role involves collaboration with internal experts to develop and execute communication plans that enhance Nemours Children's Health's national reputation, particularly in health, value, and equity. The position requires strong media relations, writing, and content creation skills to effectively convey key messages and engage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of a thought leadership plan spanning population health and federal policy.
• Grow relationships with national journalists to secure media coverage for Nemours Children's Health.
• Write and edit press releases, speeches, presentations, and digital content.
• Translate key messages and research data into engaging content for targeted audiences.
• Develop audience strategies for the Well Beyond Medicine podcast and social media channels.
• Plan and execute thought leadership events to position Nemours as a leader in children's health.
• Support the development of an awards strategy and lead submission processes.
• Monitor news and trends to inform strategic communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Ten or more years of experience in communications or public relations.
