About the position

The Manager of Healthcare Analytics will oversee the Healthcare Analytics Team within Molina Healthcare's Enterprise Information Management (EIM) organization. This role is responsible for executing the enterprise data governance strategy, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and enhancing data management and analytics capabilities using Azure and Databricks. The position involves managing relationships with operational leaders, mentoring staff, and leading data governance initiatives to maintain data quality and integrity in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide direct oversight of Healthcare Analytics Team activities and personnel.
  • Create policies, procedures, and standards for managing data assets, focusing on healthcare data compliance and regulations.
  • Implement enterprise data governance standards, guidelines, and policies.
  • Identify and mitigate data quality issues, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Work with stakeholders to define and maintain data standards, including data definitions and business rules.
  • Develop and enforce policies for data retention and disposal, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
  • Design and implement policies based on data sensitivity and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training on data governance best practices across the organization.
  • Lead data governance initiatives in the healthcare industry, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
  • Utilize expertise in Azure and Databricks-related tools to enhance data management and analytics capabilities.
  • Manage data security and privacy controls, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Implement data governance frameworks that support healthcare data interoperability and integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, information technology, or similar field.
  • Deep healthcare industry expertise with extensive knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Proven history of executing change management and building credibility with key stakeholders.
  • Highly skilled in planning and delivering multiple critical, complex projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster relationships across multiple organizations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate data governance concepts to non-technical constituents.
  • Extensive data management and analytics experience.
  • Experience with Data Lake, Azure and Databricks is desirable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters' degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3 - 5 years supervisory experience.
