About the position

Forvis Mazars is seeking a manager level Healthcare Consultant who is comfortable working with a high degree of detail and discretion, applying clinical and quality expertise, as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results. You will work closely with health plans, providers, and risk-bearing organizations to assess and improve their compliance to regulatory, clinical, and quality standards. You will also partner with firm leadership to facilitate and conduct engagements and finalize deliverables to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Accomplishes assigned project objectives, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues, through direct work performance, including document review, observation, research, analysis, process improvement design, recommendation and strategy development, report writing, training design and implementation, and completion of other deliverables.
  • Manages firm administrative duties, maintains quality of all internal and external deliverables, and provides consistent and superior customer service to both our clients and internal colleagues.
  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of clinical, quality, regulatory and compliance issues specific to client and project needs, including state and federal regulations and statutes, and accreditation standards.
  • Assists in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other materials.
  • Works closely with the Managing Directors/Partners/Principals and the consulting team to develop and implement the firm's overall marketing strategies, plans and programs, corporate communications, and client strategies and goals as relates to each project.
  • Acts as a mentor and guide to junior staff as part of the Firm's professional development and talent management programs.
  • Performs assigned duties and responsibilities in a professional manner that reflects the firm's style, reputation and overall goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years or more of operational experience working in various care delivery settings across the healthcare continuum
  • In-depth knowledge and experience interpreting and designing clinical and quality processes to adhere to healthcare compliance, regulatory, and accreditation requirements and regulatory agencies and accreditation bodies (e.g., State DOI, California DHCS, California DMHC, CMS, DHHS OIG, NCQA, The Joint Commission), in a health plan environment
  • Licensed Registered Nurse with CA State, Unrestricted Licensure

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree
  • Healthcare compliance, quality, and/or clinical certification
  • Prior consulting, leadership, and team management experience
  • Experience within healthcare clinical and quality roles with familiarity with TJC, NCQA, and CMS compliance and evidence-based practice.
  • Correctional healthcare experience with the justice involved population
  • Licensed Registered Nurse with TX State, Unrestricted Licensure
