About the position
The Manager of Home Health Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of Home Health services at designated locations. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality patient care, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient resource management. The manager will lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of Home Health services, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with all regulations.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate Home Health staff, including nurses, therapists, and support personnel.
- Manage the budget and resources for the Home Health department, ensuring cost-effective service delivery.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, implementing improvements as needed.
- Coordinate with the Director of Home Health to develop strategic plans and goals for the department.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care and compliance with documentation standards.
- Address patient and family concerns and complaints promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and departments to ensure continuity of care.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes in Home Health services.
Requirements
- Current unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Registered Professional Nurses, or appropriate state board as a registered professional nurse OR current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- CPR certification within 30 days of hire date.
- Valid driver's license.
- Three (3) years of progressive Registered Nurse experience required; 2 years Home Health experience (if hired prior to 06/01/2020).
- Five (5) years of progressive Registered Nurse experience required; Four (4) years Home Health experience and Two (2) years of supervisory experience (if hired after 06/01/2020).
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a School of Nursing.
- Two (2) years of previous experience in a hospital/home care/Home Health leadership role.
