About the position

The Manager, Hospitality & Events at Ram's Gate Winery is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and leadership of diverse events that reflect the winery's commitment to luxury and sustainability. This role involves managing day-to-day event tasks, vendor arrangements, and logistics, while also assisting the Estate Director with Tasting Room operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, guest-focused environment, fostering connections and driving brand engagement to support the winery's growth and prestige.

Responsibilities

• Manage and inspire a team of tasting room and event staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Arrange and confirm event details with vendors and manage all logistical aspects to ensure event success.
• Oversee operations on the day of the event, handling site visits and ensuring all aspects meet predetermined standards.
• Plan and coordinate internal events such as Member, Media, and Trade events, ensuring each is tailored to the audience.
• Lead the development and delivery of unique, differentiated events that enhance guest engagement.
• Work closely with Event Sales, Chef, and Estate Director to communicate event details and proactively address challenges.
• Participate in daily lineups to set the team's tone, pace, and expectations.
• Ensure staff conducts themselves as brand and sustainability ambassadors, demonstrating exceptional guest service.
• Champion new initiatives and bring forth fresh ideas to drive growth through hospitality.

Requirements

• 3-5 years in event or hospitality management, preferably in the hospitality or wine industry.
• Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Passionate about wine, elevated hospitality, and sustainable practices.
