About the position

The Manager, HR Operations & Initiatives at UHealth is responsible for overseeing the execution of the HR strategy through project management, performance improvement initiatives, and strategic communication. This role aims to enhance HR operations by planning, implementing, and tracking various projects to ensure their successful development and sustainability. The manager will evaluate current processes, recommend improvements, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of HR strategy for UHealth/MSOM through project management and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Identify areas of opportunity and define the scope of projects to improve HR effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Establish and document comprehensive plans and timelines for project completion.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust scope/strategy/timeline as needed.
  • Consult with stakeholders on employee selection for projects, provide training, and assign tasks.
  • Review the quality of work completed by the project team to ensure standards are met.
  • Create a communication strategy to inform stakeholders about HR changes and projects.
  • Assess standard operating procedures within HR and recommend process improvements.
  • Coordinate execution of special projects such as recruitment events and employee engagement activities.
  • Prepare presentations on completed projects and present status reports to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in HR operations or management.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles.
  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
  • Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.
  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate, and supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
