About the position

We are seeking an experienced Manager, HR Operations to join Mariana's Human Resources organization. This role involves taking ownership of multiple HR functions over time, demonstrating a proactive approach to evolving responsibilities and leading HR projects. The Manager will lead the onboarding process, develop and maintain onboarding materials and training schedules, and collaborate with hiring managers and key stakeholders to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for new hires. Additionally, the role includes developing a Learning and Development (L&D) strategy to design and implement training programs that enhance employee skills, career development, and performance. The Manager will partner with the leadership team to identify skills gaps and promote a culture of continuous learning within the organization. The responsibilities also encompass overseeing total reward-related programs such as merit increase processes, promotions, and other employee recognition initiatives. The Manager will support annual performance management processes, including manager training, performance reviews, goal setting, and career development discussions. Serving as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related matters, the Manager will provide guidance on policies, conflict resolution, and workplace issues while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. Furthermore, the role involves maintaining and updating the company's HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to ensure accurate employee data management, generating reports, and analyzing data to assist in decision-making. The Manager will evolve the company's various employee benefits programs, processes, tools, and communication, ensuring alignment with company objectives and competitive benchmarks. This includes leading the open enrollment process and working closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. The Manager will also manage employee immigration processes in collaboration with external legal counsel, ensuring timely and compliant visa applications and other immigration-related documentation for foreign national employees.

Responsibilities

  • Develop L&D strategy to design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills, career development, and performance.
  • Oversee total reward related programs such as merit increase processes, promotions, and other employee recognition initiatives.
  • Support annual performance management processes including manager training, performance reviews, goal setting, and career development discussions.
  • Serve as point of contact for employees regarding HR-related matters, providing guidance on policies, conflict resolution, and workplace issues.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations while managing employee concerns in a confidential and supportive manner.
  • Maintain and update the company's HRIS to ensure accurate employee data management, including generation of reports and analysis of data to assist in decision-making.
  • Evolve company's various employee benefits programs, processes, tools, and communication, ensuring alignment with company objectives, competitive benchmarks, and ease of administration.
  • Work closely with Finance team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including employee benefits deductions, earnings, bonuses, and compensation changes.
  • Manage employee immigration processes in collaboration with external legal counsel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, with 3-5+ years of experience in a HR environment.
  • Understanding of benefits administration, performance management, and HR policies.
  • Exposure to HRIS systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to adjust to new tasks and willingness to roll up sleeves.
  • Ability to work independently.
