About the position

The Manager, HRIS - Workday at Edwards Lifesciences plays a crucial role in transforming and enhancing the HR technology landscape. This position focuses on managing Workday Core HR and related applications, ensuring effective configuration, security, and reporting to support global HR strategies. The role involves collaboration with HR partners to create a technology enablement roadmap and deliver solutions that attract and retain talent, ultimately contributing to the well-being of patients worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR Solutions and HR Partners to create and support a technology enablement roadmap.
  • Manage and maintain Time Tracking and Absence Management configuration and strategy.
  • Manage and maintain security configuration, strategy, roles, permissions, and domains.
  • Collaborate with Global HR Partners to define complex Workday Core HCM process flows and sequence diagrams.
  • Capture and document technical functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Define acceptance criteria, create use cases, and provide guidance for acceptance testing.
  • Perform data mapping between business concepts and technical constructs.
  • Assess and enhance Workday Core HCM security, integrations, analytics/reporting, and data governance.
  • Create custom reports and analyze data into business reports for HR and business leaders.
  • Deep dive into systems issues and data sets to identify root causes and solutions.
  • Manage Workday vendor relationships for support, maintenance, patches, enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Oversee testing of systems for upgrades and implementation of new system upgrades.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8 years of experience in HRIS, HR Tech, or HR Analytics.
  • Highly skilled in Workday security, time tracking, absence management, reporting, and Core HR.
  • Prior exposure to Workday time tracking and/or absence management modules.

Nice-to-haves

  • Workday HCM certification.
  • Prior experience working through Workday integrations.
  • Experience with other Workday modules including talent management, talent acquisition, payroll, etc.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven experience in a complex and matrixed business environment in an analyst role.
  • Experience working in a global organization and partnering with different country HR teams.
  • Prior experience in a consulting environment.
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills; strict attention to detail.
  • Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite and related HR systems.
  • Ability to manage internal and external confidential information with utmost discretion.
  • Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the organization to influence and achieve objectives.
  • Ability to provide feedback in a professional, direct, and tactful manner.
