About the position

The Manager of Human Resources at Universal Orlando is responsible for aligning human resource strategies with business objectives, focusing on employee relations, leadership development, and performance management. This role involves working closely with management to ensure fair policy enforcement, legal compliance, and effective employee engagement initiatives, particularly during organizational changes.

Responsibilities

• Partners with assigned operational division to maximize the alignment of human resource capital with business objectives.
• Provides guidance in employee relations issues, leadership/staff development, and performance management.
• Supports senior management team to ensure fair and consistent enforcement of policies and practices.
• Investigates employee workplace situations including claims of harassment and employee performance.
• Supports management in leading employee engagement and assists with communication and action planning.
• Provides advice and consultation for front-line hourly employees on policy interpretation and employee conflict.
• Acts as liaison between management and core HR, assisting with payroll, records, benefits, training, compensation, and staffing.
• Mentors and provides guidance to staff related to their career goals and motivates them to accomplish company goals.
• Participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Human Resource, Psychology or Management required.
• 5-7 years Human Resources experience required with 1-3 years management experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
