About the position

The Manager of Human Resources at Universal Orlando Resort plays a crucial role in ensuring fair treatment of Team Members by investigating and resolving concerns related to discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. This position serves as a liaison with legal teams and evaluates workplace trends to enhance the work environment. The role also manages the 'Open Door Plus' program, which is designed to promote fair treatment among employees.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and coordinate internal investigations of sensitive employment-related complaints.
  • Review cases in the case management system for consistency and calibration.
  • Analyze case data to build metrics and provide trends to HR Business Partners and Operations.
  • Partner with Legal, HR Business Partners, and NBCU Fair Employment Practices on sensitive matters.
  • Assess work environments to maintain a culture of direct relationships with Team Members.
  • Recommend options to resolve conflicts and systemic concerns to HR Business Partners.
  • Manage the 'Open Door Plus' and 'Peer Review' programs, including monitoring and tracking appeals.
  • Facilitate Peer Review sessions and maintain a pool of panel volunteers.
  • Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years of progressive Employee Relations experience, including significant experience conducting investigations.

  • Experience with labor unions.
